Tomato Curry

Tomato Curry


It's a simple Tomato dish for chappatis and pooris.

Ingredients

Tomatoes                                                                                             2 (juicy)
Onion                                                                                                   1 (big)
Red chilli powder                                                                                   2 tsp
Kasoori methi                                                                                       A pinch
Coconut Milk powder                                                                           1 tbsp
Salt                                                                                                     To taste
Oil                                                                                                  As required
Coriander leaves                                                                              To garnish

Preparation

Slice the tomatoes and keep it aside. Cut the onion into small pieces.

Heat oil, add the onion and saute it till it turns translucent.

Then add juicy tomatoes to it and saute it too. Add chilli powder, stir it till the raw smell goes, add half a cup of water, salt, allow it to boil. A few minutes later add  kasoori methi (crush it with your palms) and stir well.

Let it be on flame for 2 minutes,, Add one tbsp coconut milk powder to half a cup of water, stir well.

Add the milk powder to the tomato gravy. Allow it to boil for 2 minutes on low flame. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves !!

If you love Paneer you can add cubes to this gravy :-)
